Young Europeans is an exciting new project for senior primary schools to provide an opportunity to showcase what pupils have learned about Europe in school and share it with others. By registering for the project, schools will receive a special European flag and certificate of participation and will also be recognised in a special awards ceremony in Dublin in May.
Young Europeans is part of the Communication Europe Initiative (CEI) established in 1995 to raise awareness about the European Union and to improve the quality and accessibility of public information on European issues.
As part of the primary school curriculum, senior primary school pupils learn about Europe all sorts of ways. This project provides an opportunity for classes to talk about and celebrate what they know. It also provides some innovative ways of sharing information.
